Akita Sushi in Bradford West Gwillimbury

Would give it a -1 if i could. Extremely poor service, yelled drink orders across the store next to our ears. I would recommend staying away from this place.

It’s a shame, this used to be one of the best Sushi places around. My wife and I would rave about it and take out of town guests there regularly. The service took a dive shortly after the fire, but the food kept us coming back. Now the food has followed the service. More rice than filling, bland taste - I couldn’t even finish my Sushi Pizza, which used to be my all time favorite. I was surprised to see the gratuity added to my bill in advance, but I’m fine with that if the service is great - however it is not. Tonight was our last meal at Akita Sushi, there is just nothing there to go back for.

Horrible customer service. The waitress had attitude when taking the orders and was not welcoming at all. There was a miscommunication between the staffs with our orders. Overall, would not recommend this place.

Coming from living in Vaughan and moving to Bradford, there aren't many options for Sushi. I have eaten there before and as much as the food is good for Bradford, the customer service is GOD AWFUL. They are extremely rude. I am never one to write a review, but I am sorry, they are extremely rude, I will not be ordering from them again.

I had a great experience, I read the reviews and wasn't sure if I should try this place. I'm happy I decided to go. I've been 2 times and I will continue to go. The staff was very friendly and the food was fresh they brought everything we ordered. They do come by and ask if everything is good or if you need a drink refill. They add a 10% tip on your total but they tell you in advance before you pay.

Average tasting sushi with western favorites to please picky eaters and kids. I arrived with 2 friends and they were attempting to kick us out 30 minutes prior to their closing time. Customer service is not a focus here and you can DEFINITELY find better tasting sushi elsewhere. Good if you're desperate for sushi and have no other options. But if you prefer more traditional Japanese sushi style, fresher fish and better customer service I would stay away from this establishment.

I celebrated my PhD yesterday in this excellent restaurant. I am glad to say that it was a superb evening and the place was unquestionably the reason for the fruitful meeting. The team contributed in a splendid manner, the meals were extremely good and my friends were very joyful. We shall absolutely return for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

Just checked the reviews to see if this place has improved. Obviously not. My experience was from years ago when I ordered cold soba noodles and they arrived like hot soggy ramen. When told that’s not how it’s supposed to be done, they actually had the nerve to rinse the same noodles under cold water and brought them out again. The container in which the noodles are supposed to be served was also wrong. This place is not authentic Japanese cuisine and they don’t know what authentic Japanese cuisine is.

So, I ordered on skipthedishes, and I called to confirm to them, they decided they weren't going to make my $132.60 worth of food, they decided to cancel my order and be COMPLETELY disrespectful! They also hung up on me when I was trying to ask WHY they're weren't going to make my order. NEKO SUSHI IS BETTER AND CHEAPER AND WAY MORE DELICIOUS THAN THIS GARBAGE PLACE WE ALL KNOW AS AKITA SUSHI.

It's a sit down restaurant which serves delicious starters of a wide variety unlimited (eat as much as u can) with wide variety of sushis n deserts.Value for money.

The food was very disappointing. The service was not great at all. We didn’t receive half of what we ordered... and then there was a 10% surcharge on the bill?! We asked what it was and they said it was a “built in tip”?! I do not recommend this place at all. I’ll continue to get my sushi from Sakana House in Barrie.

The food was alright it's all you can eat sushi,if you are craving for sushi unfortunately there is only one place in Bradford that I know that you can go, it's about $30.00 per person. Customer service not friendly, I m big on customer service as well on food, but for that kind of price 🍣 should've been better.

Horrible food, Quality is just not there. You can order 10 different rolls and they all look and taste the same. Rice is old and hard. Price is also high. Not worth $70 for 2 people - Save your money and go elsewhere

Good sushi in Bradford, just make sure you reserve if you have big enough party otherwise you might get turned away.

Food is fresh .. quick...tasty...a bit pricey for dinner... best to go for lunch before 2 PM.

The quality has gone down alot. The fish is very thinly sliced. Majority of the rolls are made of fake crab meat. I won't be ordering from Akita again..

I get to eat here a lot since I work close by. I like how their service is always great and they keep the place clean all the time. Prices are reasonable and they serve generous portions.

Rude service, ordered a green tea and it tasted burnt, and extremely small thin slices of sashimi on rolls. The slices of salmon were translucent they were so thin. Only thing I could say was good there is the beef teriyaki, good portion and nicely cooked. Otherwise I wouldn't go to this place.

I usually get the sushi spring combo, which is really good value. I only go here for lunch, and I can call to place my order, leave immediately, and they'll have it ready when I get there to pick it up. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is always spotless.

Called at 8:30 to place an order for pick up and they said no they are closed for the night. They close at 9:30..normally I eat at Neko sushi and I will continue to do so

Tried this place in the past with my friend and I am hooked ever since. I enjoyed the awesome character and yummy food and drinks. I recommend this place.

I come here often. I like the food. I think it's a little pricy. The servers are friendly but sometimes make mistakes. Some servers have trouble with English so I order something like a drink and they bring the wrong thing. They walk away really quick so I can't tell them there's been a mistake. One time they served water to the table but left the cups at the end of the table instead of serving it to each guest. Not a big deal, it won't keep me from coming here again but it feels weird when you bring your friends to a restaurant you really like and the service is noticeably bad.

We ordered the party tray C. The food was horrendous. The fish was not fresh and was smelly .The rice was hard and the Maki rolls were the size of a bubble tea straw . I would never ever go back to this place . Extremely dissapointed. Waste of money.

don’t know how long this place can be survive, if they still have this kind of services. The waitress brought foods to us and just throw on the table with ugly face rushing back to chat and laugh at the back. Food was not too bad but bill will build up with 10% of tips which a very terrible service. That is only the reason because I think most people they won’t give the tips to that two terrible waitress ladies. Been like this for a while don’t know if the owner will read the reviews or not

One of the best all you can meet sushi places in ONT !

I have eaten here a number of times and the food is ok. The problem is the people. They are simply RUDE! Never a smile. I tried to order take out and was put on hold for 10 minutes. When I finally got through I was rudely told that if I don’t know what I want call back and was hung up on! They do NOT deserve to be on business!!!!!!!

Fairly recently, I was lucky enough to have eaten the best sushi of my life here. The freshness, flavor, texture and service were beyond excellent. However this week, I can honestly say that Akita Sushi served the worst Sushi ever. The overpowering fishy smell clearly showed that the fish and seafood was not even close to being fresh. Despite my objections they still insisted on an automatic 10% tip. Due to the inconsistent quality over the past years (before and after "The Fire") and now the automatic tip, I will NEVER eat here again!!!

The customer service is regularly fast, great atmosphere, very nice staff members. I will return here again when I am in the area.

Was there on Valentine's day i was not happy with the service we ordered our sushi and once 45 mins went by we asked the server were our food was and they had too come and take the order agian service was very very slow and not mention the they have ipads soo they should never lose an order, overall im not impressed!

The customer service is horrible. The staff are not friendly and make you feel as if you are an inconvenience to them. They also try to ram a 10% gratuity down your throat without earning it as a restaurant should. Never going back. There are much better sushi restaurants out there.

The customer service, food and prices are all fine. Definitely had better but it’s the only all you can eat sushi place in Bradford. Does the trick if you’re craving sushi. Worth a try.

This restaurant has no ambiance and very poor service. The quality of the food was below average, and the the bill was outrageously high. After taking a closer look at the charges it turned out that one of my kids was charged as an adult, despite the fact that the waitress inquired about our kids ages before dinner, and therefore should have known better. What really pushed me over the edge though is that the restaurant took the liberty to add a tip to the bill without asking for permission. If they consider the tip mandatory, they should include it in their prices. While the tip itself was removed on my request, the fact that they have the audacity to add it in the first place cannot be removed. Next time I feel like sushi, I will drive the extra kilometers and go to Newmarket or Barrie.

Amazing! Been there a handful of times but today was amazing! It’s my spouse birthday so we got 50% for him which is amazing.. staff is super quick and food is fresh!! Amazing

Just finished dinner here with my boyfriend. This was our first visit, after reading all of the negative reviews we went in with low hopes, but we were very surprised to receive excellent fast paced service. The items we ordered came within minutes of processing them on the tablet. They were steaming hot and very fresh. My only complaint is the severe lack of communication due to language barriers, one of the special rolls I was very excited to try, never came and when we asked about it we got "okay" but it still never arrived.

Not sure why everyone is giving such low ratings. Has everything I would expect from an all you can eat place.

Good location, overall good food. Service is horrible, don't even pay attention when looking if customers are trying to get their attention. Be ready to pay the 10% gratuity that's added to the bill. It's only worth paying that for the food.

Horrible customer service. We called to make an order and they kept disappearing mid conversation. She was very angry and u professional. We were not able to place an order due to the customer service. Try not to go here.

I ordered the sweet potato rolls and honestly I have never tasted something so horrible and under cooked ... also tasted like they dipped in a bucket of butter ? All rolls were falling apart and potatoes tastes like carrot sticks Never again ordering from here

Been there a few times, it's always fantastic and super fast. Try the salmon pizza! It's delicious!
